About

About the Stigma

Mental health doesn’t care who you are or what you look it. It ranges from children to elders. This isn’t something that should be taken lightly. Which is has been for a while. In today’s age, there is a bad stigma that hangs over the heads of those who on a daily basis deal with mental health.

My goal is to bring awareness to those who don’t know much about mental health and that no person should be ashamed of who they are because of this illness. Because that’s what they are, illness. Not only is awareness needed but so is a way to tell those who believe that mental health isn’t important as other issues that are going on or that their children are just following the crowd.

What I hope to bring to the community is a safe place for all tweens, teens, and young adults to come and read and/or listen to what they can do to help those around them and just learn more about mental health. There will be resources for coping mechanisms, hotlines for those in need and need a quick response, information about different mental health disorders, and finally links to counselors, therapists, and psychologists.
